Conclusion
It depends on what you are looking for, I guess. Both have great beaches. Both have ample sport fishing, golf etc. But there is significant depth in Pensacola as a city. Our downtown is a great place to stay as well as the beach, with shopping and great food, nightlife etc. during baseball season we have a great stadium for our Blue Wahoos. The Naval Aviation museum is second to none. Our traffic and parking is not as horrid as Destin. There are times when it’s crowded, but it’s limited to weekends and only traffic going to and from the beach at certain times. Destin traffic seems mind blowingly bad, unless it’s winter. Pensacola has 30 miles of pristine national seashore.
